Making a Case for a Health Promotion Fund

Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth)

Rungsun is currently the team lead of ThaiHealth’s international relations unit, overseeing the organization’s overall plan and actions on global health and its collaborations with strategic international partners, such as WHO. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley in 2000, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University, USA, in 2002. Since joining ThaiHealth in 2009, he has been invited and actively participated in many key global health forums, such as UN General Assembly or World Health Assembly. In addition, he has been invited as a resource person to share lessons learned to other developing countries about setting up and running of an innovative health financing mechanism like ThaiHealth. He also served as a secretariat in the planning and organizing several health promotion conferences, such as the 21st IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion 2013 and the 6th ISPAH Congress on Physical Activity 2016.
